The 5” composite drivers provide distortion-free mid-range and deep bass that faithfully reproduces your favorite music.

CONTROL KNOB

YUMI’s simple user interface features a single knob positioned in the upper right corner of the Active speaker. Simply rotate for volume and push the knob in to cycle through the 5 inputs.

INPUTS AND OUTPUTS

YUMI features five input choices, including two Optical TOSLINK ports and Bluetooth™. If you are looking for more low-end, connect a powered subwoofer to the SUB OUT port.

REAR BASS PORT

YUMI has a 2” rear bass port that has been carefully designed and tuned to eliminate port turbulence while extending bass response.

KNURLED BINDING POSTS

The speaker connection from Active (LEFT) to Passive (RIGHT) uses high quality knurled binding posts. This standardized wiring system allows you to trim the included premium speaker wire to the desired length or purchase longer lengths for more versatility.

 REMOTE CONTROL

The YUMI remote control gives you input, volume, and tone control, and allows you to control your connected Bluetooth™ device. You can also trigger USB charging when the speaker is in standby mode.

FAQ

When my speakers go into standby mode, do they save the bass and treble adjustments I have made?

Yes. Standby mode is for power saving purposes and does not affect your bass and treble settings. However, when the power is turned off completely, these levels will automatically default to factory settings.

Why won't my speakers enter Bluetooth™ pairing mode?

If you select Bluetooth™ as your input method and do not see a flashing white light on the front of your speaker, it means they are currently connected to a device. To enter pairing mode, ensure that all previous Bluetooth™ connections are disabled. If you are unable to find the source of a connection, simply reset your speakers by turning them off and on using the power switch on the back panel.

Can I connect to my YUMI speakers using Bluetooth™?

Yes you can! To setup Bluetooth, ensure your speakers are in Bluetooth™ pairing mode, indicated by a flashing white light on the front panel. This is done by selecting the Bluetooth™ option on your remote, or by cycling through the inputs by pushing the volume knob. Doing so will cause your YUMI speakers to be displayed in your device’s Bluetooth™ settings.  Once the pairing is complete, the flashing white light will turn solid and you can begin streaming your audio!

How do I cycle through the inputs without the remote?

If you have misplaced your remote, you can still cycle through the different input channels by pushing the volume knob. Connect your device through the desired input method and cycle through until you hear sound.

Cycle order: Bluetooth> RCA > 3.5 > OPT1 > OPT2

TROUBLE SHOOTING

None of the lights on the front panel are illuminated

  • Make sure the power cable is connected to the speaker and power outlet.
  • Ensure that the power outlet is providing power.
  • Verify that the power switch on the rear of the speaker is in the “On” position.
  • Make sure the voltage selector switch is set to the correct voltage for the location they are being used.
  • Check the fuse on the rear panel of the speaker to ensure it’s intact. The speakers ship with an extra fuse if it needs to be replaced.

The blue light on the front panel is illuminated but there is no audio playing

  • Make sure the correct input is selected. Click the knob on the front of the speakers to cycle through the five different inputs or use the remote to choose the correct input.
  • Set the volume of the source is set to its highest level. Ensure audio source is playing audio.
  • Check that the audio cable connected to and from the source is firmly connected. Test another audio cable if available.
  • Verify that the volume of the speaker is not at it’s minimum level. Turn the volume up using the knob on the front or the volume controls on the remote.

Audio is only playing through one speaker

  • Reconnect the speaker wire between the active speaker and passive speaker and ensure the ends of the speaker wire are fastened securely through the binding posts.
  • Check that the audio cable connected to and from the source is firmly seated. Try a different cable or source to isolate the issue.
  • Ensure that the balance setting on the source is centered. Some sources may not have an adjustable balance setting.

The audio quality is poor

  • Set the volume of the source is set to its highest level. Low source volume can negatively affect dynamic range.
  • Verify that the speaker wire is connected to the same colour terminals on the active speaker and passive speaker.
  • Ensure that the rear of the speaker is spaced away from the wall by at least 20cm to let the rear port function unimpeded.
  • Set the bass and treble levels to the default setting by pressing the EQ reset button on the remote.
  • Test a different song or source to isolate the issue.

The remote is not functioning correctly

  • Ensure there is a clear line of sight from the remote to the speakers. Aim the remote at the speakers.
  • Check battery compartment of remote to make sure the batteries are installed and aligned correctly.
  • Replace batteries.

No audio is coming from the attached subwoofer

  • Check that the RCA cable connected to and from the subwoofer is firmly seated. Try a different cable or source to isolate the issue.
  • Make sure the subwoofer is connected to a power outlet and is set to “On” or “Auto”.
  • Increase the volume of the subwoofer.

Source will not connect to Bluetooth™

  • Ensure the speakers are in Bluetooth™ mode by clicking the Bluetooth™ button on the remote or cycle through the inputs by clicking the knob on the front of the speakers until the white light on the front panel of the speakers starts flashing.
  • Make sure the white light on the front panel of the speakers is flashing indicating the speakers are in pairing mode.
  • On the source turn Bluetooth™ off and on again.
  • If the speakers cannot be found while searching for devices on the source turn off the speakers using the power switch on the rear of the speaker. Switch them back on and try again these steps again.

YUMIs are making buzzing, hissing or distortion

  • If using the optical input set the sources output to stereo, not surround, Dolby, DTS, or 5.1 and set the sample rate to 96Khz or lower.
  • Verify if the noise is coming from the source by removing all sources from the speakers.
  • Make sure it is not a power issue by trying a power outlet that is on a different circuit.
  • Check that the audio cable connected to and from the source is firmly seated. Try a different cable or source to isolate the issue.

YUMIs are going into standby while listening to audio

  • Set the volume of the source is set to it’s highest level. Low source volume can unintentionally trigger standby mode.
